Tim Shorrock, who writes for

is recently returned from Korea where he participated in marking the
60th anniversary of the armistice and in the movement for
demilitarization and peace. He disagrees with President Obama's
assessment of the Korean War, and also with the approach that many
activists in the United States have taken toward Korea. Shorrock is a
Washington-based investigative journalist who grew up in Japan and South
Korea. He is the author of
